Another long skinny using every shade of red on my table… I was distracted / mesmerized by the reaction of the high silver glass over the red… that thin line of silvered ivory is mind blowing to me! Calipers MIA in my recent office move… using a ruler! If size is crucial, please shoot me an email. Just shy of 2.75″ long from hole to hole. $30.00
I actually made this for me… thinking it would be a nice focal for a kumihimo necklace. After months of looking at it in my bead bowl, it’s time to let it go… 37 mm hole to hole x 40 mm (1.5″) This is a nice LARGE bead. Lots of silver rich glasses, reduced and heavily encased to capture that shine and mother-of-pearl look on both sides. A swath of crinkle dichroic is down the center and a colorful sunflower wrapped around one side, blue aventurine was used for the spiral. Spirals are a symbol of the circle of life or of ‘home” and are often featured in my work. $42.00
This set of Rio Party color beads is now MADE TO ORDER. A color reaction between a rare, no-longer-made glass and two more common highly reactive glasses. There is no predicting how the colors will develop but a riot is pretty much guaranteed! You will find baby blue, purple, lavender, burnt orange, golden yellow and teal in these. I still have a few vials of the precious glass left but when it’s gone… The party will be over! The five bead set is a smidge under 3″ long. The smaller pair are about 3/8″ and the larger three are around a 1/2″. $27.50 As always you will receive a photo of your actual beads before mailing! |

Named for the opitical illusion created by encasing parts of the bead in clear glass. The silver-rich glass used for the purple dots shimmers and gives off a mother of pearl effect in the light. The green dots add to the overall olive tint created by this rich ivory glass. Bead is 3 3/8″ long x “just over” 3/8″ wide. $30.00

This bead is so large it could be a display bead or – if you are like me and love big beads – worn as a pendant. I deliberately aimed for a more oval shape on the icing so it would hang a bit closer to the chest if worn but this is a darling bead on the display… a real conversation starter! Bead is 1″ high and 1 1/4″ wide. $30
Note, the red base is a dark red… and more red to the human eye than my camera picks up.

This bead is a STUNNER! I’ve been staring at it for DAYS! The view on the upper left is in full sun and the right is in the shade. See below for the reverse. About the unusual name: My bestie named it! See that swirl of bluestone stringer on the upper right??? Doesn’t it look just like a catfish??? Since I’m a Southern girl who grew up with a fishing pole in her hands… it only seemed natural to name it after my favorite fish!
This bead has about four layers of glass and is decorated with multiple silver rich glasses and hand pulled blue stone full of sparkling copper matrix. There is also silver laden murrini and lots of swirls. The colors in daylight are more purple and blue. In shade the colors range from yellow to pale lavender and even pink. There is LOTS of sparkle and that wonderful mother of pearl effect I’m so in love with right now! This is a showstopper!
The focal measures: 34 mm hole to hole x 37 mm long x 16 ish mm thick. $55
