The jewelry I love to wear is always rather simple… made to show off a fantastic bead…or three! The focal bead is made by ceramic artist Tari Sasser. When I started making the Rio Party beads, I finally knew what I was going to do with Tari’s fantastic bead! As luck would have it, my friend Heidi Bond – makes gorgeous hand dyed ribbons – had the perfect ribbon to string it and 2 Rio donut glass beads on. Simple and WOW all in one! $42.00

The ribbon is about 25″ and the focal is 2.5″ long.

This beads are the result of a color reaction. The colors look brown or gray depending on the light with a pop of peach. They will fit a Pandora and I also have a matching set of micro glass beads. Two beads measure $15.00

Another of my duo hearts. I LOVE this design! Black and Ivory on one side for a basic, go everywhere kind of look. But the back, is more a wild and crazy color explosion! This particular one features lots of rich fall browns! Heart has a glass bail and measures 1.25″ tall x 3/4″ wide. $12.00

I dropped this gorgeous off mandrel gingko on a tile floor and broke off the glass bail! I was so sad! He staying on my work table for almost a year! He was too pretty to toss! I ground any sharp edges off and wire wrapped him in sterling silver, creating a generous bail. 1.5″ wide x 1.5″ tall. $24.00

This is such a subtle beauty. It may not look like much at first glance but, look again and you’ll see all these dark, mysterious sky colors. Rich blues in navy and steel, a flash of green or purple, and lots of silver glass shimmer! The key is 2 3/4″ long and the bead was built on the shank of the key in the flame. The key has been polished with a sealing wax to prevent rust and protect your clothing.

Named for the opitical illusion created by encasing parts of the bead in clear glass. The silver-rich glass used for the purple dots shimmers and gives off a mother of pearl effect in the light. The green dots add to the overall olive tint created by this rich ivory glass. Bead is 3 3/8″ long x “just over” 3/8″ wide. $30.00

An End of Day bead in a bicone shape, swirls of vitrograph handpulled cane over ivory. There are a myriad of colors in this bead from a yellow / olive to copper green and teal blues… a lovely mix. Measures 1.5″ long x .5″ at the center of the bicone. See size reference photo below$14.00

This bead is so large it could be a display bead or – if you are like me and love big beads – worn as a pendant. I deliberately aimed for a more oval shape on the icing  so it would hang a bit closer to the chest if worn but this is a darling bead on the display… a real conversation starter!  Bead is 1″ high and 1 1/4″ wide. $30

Note, the red base is a dark red… and more red to the human eye than my camera picks up.

Fire… This was an end of day bead using red, orange and a golden yellow… One of my all time favorite beads… just a little to small for my needs at just under one inch long and just over 1/4″  wide.

This bead was originally to be an entry into the Fire Divas Team “Say it with words” bead challenge. After she came out the kiln, I didn’t like the words, so I slowly heated it up, scraped off / melted in the words, added frit and flowers and Voila! A two day bead is born!
