Another set of Rio Party color beads. A color reaction between a rare, no-longer-made glass and two more common highly reactive glasses. There is no predicting how the colors will develop but a riot is pretty much guaranteed! You will find baby blue, purple, lavender, burnt orange, golden yellow and teal in these. The five bead set is a smidge under 3″ long. The smaller pair are about 3/8″ and the larger three are around a 1/2″. $27.50
I dropped this gorgeous off mandrel gingko on a tile floor and broke off the glass bail! I was so sad! He staying on my work table for almost a year! He was too pretty to toss! I ground any sharp edges off and wire wrapped him in sterling silver, creating a generous bail. 1.5″ wide x 1.5″ tall. $24.00
Named for the opitical illusion created by encasing parts of the bead in clear glass. The silver-rich glass used for the purple dots shimmers and gives off a mother of pearl effect in the light. The green dots add to the overall olive tint created by this rich ivory glass. Bead is 3 3/8″ long x “just over” 3/8″ wide. $30.00
Another breathtaking extra large glass focal bead with stunning mother of pearl effects. Rich in high silver glass, this bead is made of four layers of glass all swirling together to create magic! There’s also quite a bit of blue stone aventurine sparkling in there and all is captured under a heavy layer of crystal clear before being lovingly hand shaped. This bead took over 90 minutes in the flame! The photos above are in full sunlight. The bottom photo is in the shade.
Summer measured 40.6 mm at her shoulders (1.6″) and is 42 mm tall hole to hole. She would make a stunning focal for a beach themed necklace! 54.99
This bead is a STUNNER! I’ve been staring at it for DAYS! The view on the upper left is in full sun and the right is in the shade. See below for the reverse. About the unusual name: My bestie named it! See that swirl of bluestone stringer on the upper right??? Doesn’t it look just like a catfish??? Since I’m a Southern girl who grew up with a fishing pole in her hands… it only seemed natural to name it after my favorite fish!
This bead has about four layers of glass and is decorated with multiple silver rich glasses and hand pulled blue stone full of sparkling copper matrix. There is also silver laden murrini and lots of swirls. The colors in daylight are more purple and blue. In shade the colors range from yellow to pale lavender and even pink. There is LOTS of sparkle and that wonderful mother of pearl effect I’m so in love with right now! This is a showstopper!
The focal measures: 34 mm hole to hole x 37 mm long x 16 ish mm thick. $55
I’m trying to make smaller focals… A struggle for a gigantic bead lover like me. ;0)
Rectangular bead, brown basket weave base with lavender flowers and vine cane design. Slightly different on both sides. 20 mm hole to hole x 15mm x 10 mm thick. $7.00
Chocolate hearts decorated in spring pastels… a lavender swirl with a coral heart motif and …vice versa. You KNOW it KILLS me to make two just a like! Perfect for earrings. This is from a new press I have… much thicker beads than I envisioned. The back has a gentle wave pattern lightly embossed in the surface…too light for the camera to see! But discernible to the naked eye and by touch. I love these!
Pair is 12.99. Measures 15 mm from top shoulders to bottom hole. 18 mm at widest point. 11 mm THICK.
OY! I made these during my “crazy work phase” and can’t really remember what frit I used. For you glass heads… it’s most likely my friend Donna’s Purple People Eater frit over a discontinued lavender glass.
It started as a lovely perfect cylinder… but you KNOW how I ADORE flat, thin beads, right??? So I squished the heck out of it and I think…it’s a lovely Easter egg! The little ribbed beads are the same glass with crystal clear casing that was ribbed in some fancy new tool I had to have… LOL! Wouldn’t they make a nice pair of earrings and a little dangle for the big focal glass bead??? ;0)
The four bead set is 24.99. The focal measures 27 mm hole to hole x 21 mm wide x 7 mm thick. The ribbed beads are graduated from 9.4 – 10.7 mm.
This set is SOOOOO stunning and made from common glasses so I’m offering it as a made to order set or by the piece. If you want these colors on a different shape or configuration, contact me!
