This sculptural Santa Glass Bead was started at 34 mm lentil and progressed from there! Then I sculpted his hat. Blue eyes and red lips! $32

I’ve been cleaning out my various bead bowls for a sale and found this guy. He was from a Kim Fields class. When I take a class, I try to adapt what I learn to my beads and not just copy someone else’s work. This owl was one of those beads that I know I will never make again… but this little hooter still still needs a nice home đ 1 focal 21 mm tall x 22 mm wide. Vertical hole $14.00
This bead was originally to be an entry into the Fire Divas Team âSay it with wordsâ bead challenge. After she came out the kiln, I didnât like the words, so I slowly heated it up, scraped off / melted in the words, added frit and flowers and Voila! A two day bead is born! This one is in fall colors. Be sure to see the other bead I did this to… 1 3/8″ x 1 1/8″ – $14.00

I’ve always just loved a simple bead I can toss on a chain and just go. The beads I like are always symbolic of my mood. And since I’m often out and about with my pup, I decided to make a puppy paw bead. My favorite dog t-shirt reads “When I see a paw print, I see a heart and four arms reaching out to love me.” So naturally, I had to make the paws heart-shaped! Shown on one of my friction clasp necklaces (sold separately), this bead was made on a 1/16th mandrel. 7 mm x 14mm $6.00 or $10 with the silver 18″ chain. |
