Sometimes, we all need a pacifier… something that brings us great comfort, right?? I love a bead I can hold and caress near my heart. Meet the Glass Paci, my version of a all grown up pacifier. It’s made of one big hole bead used as a stopper to show off a glass bead made on a bobbin. I used a rich, rare purple glass and Gaffer’s Chalcedony raku frit for a little color interest. Both are strung on a beautiful, hand-dyed ribbon in rich purples, blues, maroon and brown. Ribbon is 34″ long.  Photos were taken in outdoor light and incandescent lighting. $25.00

I actually made this for me… thinking it would be a nice focal for a kumihimo necklace.  After months of looking at it in my bead bowl, it’s time to let it go…  37 mm hole to hole  x 40 mm (1.5″) This is a nice LARGE bead. Lots of silver rich glasses, reduced and heavily encased to capture that shine and mother-of-pearl look on both sides. A swath of crinkle dichroic is down the center and a colorful sunflower wrapped around one side, blue aventurine was used for the spiral. Spirals are a symbol of the circle of life or of ‘home” and are often featured in my work. $42.00

This beads are the result of a color reaction. The colors look brown or gray depending on the light with a pop of peach. They will fit a Pandora and I also have a matching set of micro glass beads. Two beads measure $15.00

Another of my duo hearts. I LOVE this design! Black and Ivory on one side for a basic, go everywhere kind of look. But the back, is more a wild and crazy color explosion! This particular one features lots of rich fall browns! Heart has a glass bail and measures 1.25″ tall x 3/4″ wide. $12.00

I dropped this gorgeous off mandrel gingko on a tile floor and broke off the glass bail! I was so sad! He staying on my work table for almost a year! He was too pretty to toss! I ground any sharp edges off and wire wrapped him in sterling silver, creating a generous bail. 1.5″ wide x 1.5″ tall. $24.00

This bead was originally to be an entry into the Fire Divas Team “Say it with words” bead challenge. After she came out the kiln, I didn’t like the words, so I slowly heated it up, scraped off / melted in the words, added frit and flowers and Voila! A two day bead is born! Pair of inverse matching chocolate hearts glass beads. The press I use puts a slight wave pattern in the back and I have not added my usual “puddle” of glass to the bottom sides. The decorations on top are a swirl of either blackberry or mango with a little heart in the opposite color. Great set for earrings!
