This is one of those glass bead sets that you kind of stare at for a while. The base is a transparent brown and it’s rolled in a raku that lends itself to blues and greens and purples and rust. It’s still transparent in places…which makes you stare a bit longer. Five beads: Squiggle focal is 40 mm long by 16 mm wide. Four matching rectangles are 15 mm x 10 mm wide. This set would make an amazing bracelet or necklace! $36.99 Extra large turquoise glass bead lentil with silvered ivory and pinky peach detailing. View of both side of focal above. 3 beads: 35 mm large lentil focal, 8 mm rounds. M I C K E Y….. yeah, you know the tune. My handmade glass beads tribute to the most famous rat in the world. These glass beads a all larger focals. I like big beads and just wanted to make a large set. The Minnie and Mickey ears are 15 mm x 15 mm. The bowtie is 28 mm hole to hole. Pants: 20 mm. Skirt: 18.4 mm. Shoe: 18.5. Also included is a set of 7 mini spacers in red and black. 13 beads in all. $59.00
This was my entry in last month’s Fire Divas May Flowers Bead Challenge. The lampwork glass beads are some of my favorites ever! I worked really hard on this piece…figuring out how to separate the beads… what should go where and what would make the beads hang right. Each of the LARGE florals took around 40 minutes EACH in the flame, layering color with clear and then shaping. It was a really time consuming set and I hope she finds a good and loving home. These will fit on a Pandora necklace if you prefer something more upscale than the hand dyed ribbon I have them strung on. $119.00 |
